Meet the board:
Cherrelle Thomas, President -
Meet our current PTA president, Cherrelle Thomas, an alumni of Boonsboro High School, and active member of our community. All four of her children attend Boonsboro schools. She is thrilled to have another year on the board and eager to be a part of our school community. Cherrelle is looking forward to finding new and enjoyable ways to meet the needs of staff and students while having small town community fun! Some of the events she’s looking forward to this coming year are - Bingo, Stem nights and BookFairs!
Bonnie Pelc, 1st Vice President -
Bonnie Pelc is a Boonsboro Elementary parent, second grade teacher, and the PTA 1st Vice President. This is her first year teaching second grade at Boonsboro, but she brings ten years of teaching experience to the classroom. In her PTA role, Bonnie plans and organizes events that bring the school community together — her favorites are the Warrior Walk, STEM nights, and Scholastic Book Fairs. She loves giving back to the community where she grew up and can’t wait to work with families to make this year’s events fun and memorable for everyone!
Jordyn Himes, 2nd Vice President -
Jordyn Himes has been a teacher for over 15 years. She’s blessed to teach in the same community where she grew up and where her own kids went to school. As the PTA Second Vice President, Jordyn cares deeply about our families, our teachers, and every child in our community. She believes that when we all work together, we help our kids grow, learn, and feel supported every step of the way.
Jordan Pearson, Treasurer -
Jordan Pearson is the Treasurer of the PTA. As a proud alum and now parent, serving as Treasurer is a deeply meaningful way for her to give back to the community in which she was born and raised. With 20 years of experience as a CPA, Jordan is committed to working closely with other board members in supporting our school community by promoting financial transparency and ensuring our resources are used wisely to enrich the experience for all students, families, and staff.
Meaghan Collins, Secretary -
Meet Meaghan, your PTA Secretary! She has three wild and wonderful kids attending Boonsboro Elementary and is happy to support our school community. With the upcoming year ahead, Meaghan is excited about working together with everyone to ensure a fantastic experience for our children and to create a positive and enriching environment for all our students!
